Jason Mann

​

Jason Mann, writing as J. H. Mann, is an award-winning writer and journalist who regularly speaks at literary events and leads discussions on the craft of writing.

 

As a young journalist, he was named Best New Editor by the British Association of Industrial Editors. More recently, his novels—set along Cornwall’s wild Atlantic coast—have received awards in both the United States and the UK.

 

His second novel, The Echoing Shore, won the 2025 Selfies Adult Fiction Prize at the London Book Fair and was shortlisted for the 2025 Holyer an Gof Publishers’ Awards for Cornish Fiction.

 

His work is inspired by his family’s strong links with Cornwall—his father was one of the county’s early lifeguards—and by his own role as a shore-based volunteer for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).

 

He now lives in Torquay, Devon, where he regularly indulges his passion for open-water swimming.

Keith Rossiter

Keith Rossiter is a former journalist (Times, Sunday Times) who eventually found refuge from the tyranny of facts in writing fiction.

​

He enjoys presenting workshops in creative writing, and running webinar discussions about the art and craft of writing fiction. In fact, he says, they are among his favourite activities. “It’s incredibly rewarding to help people to unleash their imagination and to master the skills of an author.”

​

He has published a successful novel, The Chaos Game, under his own name. The novel reflects his abiding love of Greece and Greek history.

​

Writing as Al Biscotti, he has published White Raven, a novel for young adults, and Shadow Lands: The Poacher’s Trap, a novel for middle-grade readers.

​

Keith is also an enthusiastic filmmaker, with several short film credits under his belt, as writer and director.

​

He now lives in Torquay, Devon, where he divides his time between writing and sailing.

William Telford

​

William Telford is a journalist and author living and working in Plymouth. 

​

He mainly writes short and micro fiction and has had numerous stories published in print and online, in publications such as Short Fiction, The Broadsheet, Epizootics, Spelk, Lay of the Land, Ugly Writers, Clutter, Ink and more.

 

William was shortlisted for the Bristol Short Story Prize in 2012.

​

His short story collection How Love Works was published by Waterhare Press in 2020, described as containing “wonderfully imaginative stories” which are “impossible to forget”.

​

William’s mini-novel Alfredo and Me, “a tragicomedy of football, fame and fragile identity”, was published as a pocket book in late 2025 by Stoat Books.

​

William has an MA, with distinction, in creative writing from the University of Plymouth, and is active on the literary scene in Plymouth and the South West.

​

He was a co-organiser of the PlymLit festivals in 2016 and 2017.

​

As a journalist his by-lines have appeared in publications as diverse as the Plymouth Herald, Western Morning News, The Mirror, The Express and When Saturday Comes, both in print and online.

​

He has written the popular Literary City page, documenting the South West’s literary scene, in The Herald each Saturday for many years.

​

William has been described as “a writer of striking versatility and talent”.

Jonathan Posner

​

After a 35 year career in marketing and advertising, Jonathan is now a full-time writer and publisher.

 

He has written and published seven action adventure novels, all set in the 16th century, as well as two anthologies of short stories / articles. He loves sharing the knowledge and experience he's built up through his writing, and has presented workshops on creative writing, beating writer's block and creating great characters.

​When not writing, publishing and presenting workshops, Jonathan can be found presenting two radio programmes on Phonic FM - The Thursday Book Club and Lights Up!
